Ondo TESCOM boss urges diligence among staff

The Chairman, Ondo State Teaching Service Commission (TESCOM), Dr. (Mrs) Daisi Oke, has charged all members of staff of the commission to be alive to their responsibilities.

The Chairman gave the charge while addressing staff of the commission at the headquarters in Akure.

According to a statement on Friday issued by the commission’s head of Press and Public Relations, Mr Goodluck Akinyomi, the Chairman stressed the need to move the commission forward through dedication and commitment, admonishing workers to put in their best to ensure progress.

She said, “Let us live as a family and make the progress of the commission paramount in our hearts.

“We need to carry out our duties as expected as there are lots of task ahead us.

“We have to join hands and do better as this is the best way we can achieve the desired objectives.”

Oke further urged the workers to always give information that could bring about development warning against indolence.

The Permanent Secretary of the Commission, Mr. Sule Adeyemi, who harped on policy directives and admonition strongly warned against lateness, insubordination and absenteeism, adding that absenteeism particularly attract serious penalty in civil service rule.

The Permanent Secretary, therefore, charged every workers in the commission to make discipline their watchword.

In the same vein, members of the board of the commission, Mr Ajani Oladipo, Mrs, Titilayo Fayoriju, Mrs. Ojuolape Aderemi and Alhaji Isiaka Usman, who called for mutual understanding and respect among staff warned against actions capable of undermining the integrity of the commission
