Ondo State Governor, Hon. Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa, has congratulated the Olowo of Owo and Chairman of the Ondo State Council of Traditional Rulers, Oba (Dr.) Ajibade Gbadegesin Ogunoye III, on the occasion of his 60th birthday, describing him as a monarch whose life has been defined by exemplary service, integrity, and visionary leadership.
In a goodwill message issued to commemorate the monarch’s diamond jubilee, Governor Aiyedatiwa praised the royal father for his steadfast commitment to the progress of Owo Kingdom and his invaluable contributions to peace, unity, and development across Ondo State.
The governor said Oba Ogunoye has earned widespread respect through his wisdom, foresight, and dedication to preserving the rich cultural heritage of the people while providing purposeful leadership to his kingdom.
He also commended the monarch’s distinguished career outside the traditional institution, noting that his experience as a legal practitioner, accomplished administrator, retired Permanent Secretary, and Chancellor of the Federal University of Technology, Babura, Jigawa State, has continued to enrich his service to humanity.
According to Governor Aiyedatiwa, Oba Ogunoye has played a pivotal role in strengthening collaboration between the traditional institution and the government, particularly in his capacity as Chairman of the Ondo State Council of Traditional Rulers, where he has fostered unity among monarchs and supported initiatives aimed at sustainable development.
“On behalf of the Government and the good people of Ondo State, I heartily congratulate His Imperial Majesty, Oba (Dr.) Ajibade Gbadegesin Ogunoye III, the Olowo of Owo and Chairman of the Ondo State Council of Traditional Rulers, on the joyous occasion of his 60th birthday,” the governor said.
He described the milestone as a celebration of a life devoted to selfless service, leadership, and the preservation of the state’s cultural values.
Governor Aiyedatiwa prayed for God’s continued guidance and blessings upon the revered monarch, wishing him many more years in good health, renewed strength, divine wisdom, and a peaceful, prosperous, and impactful reign.
The governor joined the royal family, sons and daughters of Owo Kingdom, friends, and well-wishers in celebrating Oba Ogunoye’s remarkable life and enduring legacy of service.
