The Ondo State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has praised Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa for his commitment to strengthening the party and mobilising support for the re-election of President Bola Tinubu and other APC candidates ahead of the 2027 general elections.
Speaking in a statement, the APC State Chairman, Hon. Kolawole Babatunde, described the governor’s efforts as a demonstration of selfless leadership and dedication to the collective success of the party.
According to Babatunde, Aiyedatiwa has continued to place the interests of the APC above personal ambitions by focusing on building strong party structures across the state.
“Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa has shown that genuine leadership is measured not by personal ambition but by one’s willingness to work tirelessly for the collective success of the party and the nation. His commitment to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s re-election and the victory of every APC candidate is worthy of commendation,” he said.
The APC chairman also commended the governor’s directive for the reconstitution of the quarterly APC Stakeholders’ Meeting to accommodate more party members and critical stakeholders, describing the move as a strategic step toward inclusiveness and internal cohesion.
“Our strength has always been our unity. By expanding the stakeholders’ structure to include every relevant voice within our great party, Governor Aiyedatiwa is further deepening internal cohesion and ensuring that no genuine stakeholder is left behind. This is how enduring political victories are built,” Babatunde stated.
He noted that the stakeholders’ meeting, which brings together party leaders from all 203 wards in Ondo State, has become a key platform for political consultation, mobilisation and strategic planning.
The party also lauded the governor’s support for the Renewed Hope Ambassadors, describing the group as an effective grassroots mobilisation platform promoting the policies and achievements of President Tinubu’s administration across communities in the state.
Babatunde further highlighted the administration’s investments in infrastructure, healthcare, education, agriculture, youth empowerment and economic development, saying the projects were helping to improve the lives of residents and strengthen public confidence in government.
“Good governance remains the strongest campaign message. Governor Aiyedatiwa understands that infrastructure is not merely about concrete and asphalt; it is about improving lives, creating opportunities and inspiring confidence in government. These achievements will undoubtedly resonate with the electorate,” he added.
The APC chairman also cited the party’s victory in the recent Ondo South Senatorial District by-election as evidence of its growing acceptance among the people of the state.
He urged party members, support groups and stakeholders to remain united and committed to securing electoral victories for the APC in future elections.
“Governor Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa has demonstrated exemplary leadership by placing the success of the party above personal considerations. His commitment should inspire every APC member to embrace unity, discipline and purposeful mobilisation,” Babatunde said.
The APC expressed confidence that the unity and mobilisation efforts being championed by Governor Aiyedatiwa would further consolidate the party’s electoral fortunes and strengthen support for President Tinubu’s re-election bid in 2027.
