{"id":1313,"date":"2026-04-20T10:10:00","date_gmt":"2026-04-20T10:10:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/thepublicsquare.com.ng\/?p=1313"},"modified":"2026-04-20T10:10:03","modified_gmt":"2026-04-20T10:10:03","slug":"2027-oluwaseun-albert-declares-for-house-of-assembly-seat","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/thepublicsquare.com.ng\/index.php\/2026\/04\/20\/2027-oluwaseun-albert-declares-for-house-of-assembly-seat\/","title":{"rendered":"2027: Oluwaseun Albert Declares for House of Assembly Seat"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Oluwaseun Albert has officially declared his intention to contest for the Ondo State House of Assembly seat representing Odigbo Constituency 1 under the All Progressives Congress (APC).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Albert made his declaration while addressing party members and stakeholders, expressing his readiness to serve and represent the people if given the mandate in the 2027 general elections.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Speaking at the gathering, he said his ambition is rooted in service and aligned with the development agenda of the state government.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cMy aspiration to contest for the House of Assembly stems from the agenda of the governor. I have been carrying out various empowerment programmes for my people, which align with the governor\u2019s vision,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Albert highlighted his grassroots engagements, noting that his initiatives in youth empowerment and community support reflect his commitment to development.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cIf you look at my efforts\u2014supporting people, empowering youths through sports and other engagements\u2014they all align with the agenda of Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He appealed to party members for their support, assuring them that he would maximise the opportunity to attract development to the constituency if elected.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Party leaders and stakeholders who spoke at the event welcomed his ambition and encouraged him to sustain consultations across the constituency.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>An ex-officio member of the party, Fatai Olawale, alongside the APC Chairman in Odigbo Local Government, Kolawole Babatunde, commended Albert\u2019s decision to join the race, describing it as a positive step for youth participation in politics.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Also speaking, party chieftain Adedimeji Abimbola praised Governor Aiyedatiwa\u2019s commitment to youth inclusion, urging Albert to remain consistent in his engagement with the people.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cWe are happy to see a known and capable young person stepping forward to contest for the House of Assembly in Odigbo. It is encouraging, and it shows that the future of our politics is bright,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Another party supporter also threw weight behind Albert\u2019s aspiration, citing his contributions to the community.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cOluwaseun Albert is going for the House of Assembly in Odigbo, and we want the people to support him. He is one of us.
