According to a statement issued by the President’s Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, the national address is scheduled to air at 7:00 a.m. on the network services of the Nigerian Television Authority (NTA) and Radio Nigeria.

The Presidency directed all television and radio stations across the country to hook onto the NTA and Radio Nigeria network to relay the broadcast to Nigerians.

Democracy Day is observed annually to commemorate Nigeria’s democratic journey and honour the struggles and sacrifices that paved the way for the country’s return to democratic governance.
