NSCDC Nabs Two Over Alleged Rape of Minors in Ondo

The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Ondo State Command, has arrested two men over alleged rape cases involving underage girls in Akure.

In a statement, the command said a 22-year-old farmer, Emeka Chidi Innocent, allegedly raped a 13-year-old girl in the SIB area of Igbatoro on March 3, 2026.

He reportedly went into hiding after the incident but was later apprehended in Idanre following a manhunt.

In a separate incident, Ayodele John, a 38-year-old tiler, is accused of defiling a 15-year-old girl at her parents’ residence along Oda Road, Akure.

The incident occurred on April 13, 2026, and the suspect was arrested the next day.

The NSCDC said both suspects have confessed to the allegations and will be charged to court.

The command also urged parents and guardians to be more vigilant, especially in monitoring individuals who have access to their homes, noting that both suspects were familiar to the victims and their families.
